Editorial policy

Our editorial rules are designed to keep research useful, source-based and independent.

Editorial independence

Coverage and conclusions are not purchased by merchants. Commercial relationships do not determine rankings, conclusions or whether a product is covered.

Source standards

We prefer primary merchant documentation, official specifications, warranty and return policies, payment information and other relevant source material. When a fact is time-sensitive, we treat it as a snapshot rather than an evergreen claim.

Hands-on vs specification-based research

Specification-based research uses source documents and published product data. Hands-on testing is described only when we actually performed it. We do not blur the two.

Corrections and updates

Material errors should be corrected when identified. Prices, availability, warranties and other changeable facts are updated when they materially affect a recommendation.

Affiliate relationships

Affiliate links, when used, are disclosed. A commercial relationship does not guarantee a positive review or ranking.

Prohibited practices

We do not publish fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, fake scarcity, false discounts, undisclosed incentives or invented hands-on experience.
